Alexandre Lacazette has named two Arsenal players he thinks are the future of the club.

The Frenchman who signed for the Gunners this summer for a club-record £52m from Lyon has already netted twice for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Both strikes came at The Emirates, but there are already signs he is the prolific centre-forward Arsenal fans have been calling for since the departure of Robin van Persie.

The 26 year-old who played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s 0-0 draw at Chelsea admits he is still getting to grips with the “intensity” of the Premier League.

Despite the Frenchman’s short time in North London, he’s revealed a couple of the club’s youngsters have already caught his eye.

He believes both Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nkeitah are the future.

“I think Reiss is very good,” Lacazette told Arsenal Player. “I believe he will be a top player for the club. He already impressed me during pre-season and it’s great to see what he’s been doing for the under-23s.

Nelson impressed in The Emirates Cup this summer.

“His stats are very good and he’s been performing well. When he’s played with us, he’s shown that he has real quality.

“I really like Eddie as well. He’s a great striker at the academy. He is very calm in front of goal and has great technique.”

Last week saw Nelson make his debut for the Gunners in the 3-1 Europa League win over FC Koln. Nkeitah, who was sublime for the under-23’s last year is surely not far from his unveiling.
