Arsenal hero Lee Dixon has slammed the Gunners’ performance in their 2-2 draw with Watford in the Premier League on Sunday.

The North Londoners capitulated in the second half and were very lucky to come away from Vicarage Road with a point.

Aubameyang had put Arsenal 2-0 up at half-time in a game where Unai Emery’s side appeared to be cruising to three points.

Emery made changes to his midfield in the second period – and in absence of Matteo Guendouzi, Mesut Ozil and Dani Ceballos, the Gunners lost their first-half creativity and in turn allowed Watford to grow into their stride.

The Hornets netted twice on the back of Arsenal defensive errors with Tom Cleverly and Roberto Perreya finding the net.

Abdoulaye Doucoure had a golden opportunity to win the game for Watford, but with the goal gaping, the midfielder could only find Bernd Leno.

Dixon, who made over 600 appearances for Arsenal, has slammed the performance at Vicarage Road for a range of reasons. The former full-back tweeted:

‘The worst performance without the ball for a very long time. No accountability what so ever. Game management zero. Game understanding zero. Responsibility to others zero. Very very poor.’

Next up for the Gunners is a trip to Germany, as they prepare to open their 2019/2020 Europa League account.
