Leon Bailey says he’s happy to wait for his big move as he is not ready to leave Bayern Leverkuzen just yet.

The attacker has emerged as one of the hottest talents in Europe and has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Bailey’s shown phenomenal form for Leverkuzen this term, scoring 11 times and assisting five in 27 games.

But still very much in the dawn of his career, the Jamaican says he is in no rush to leave his current club.

He told Sport Bild (via Goal): “Leverkusen is perfect for me.

“I want to develop and then I can take the next step.

Bailey is a top target for Europe’s elite sides

“When I move to a big club, the people there will want to know me. I want to make a name for myself at the highest level.”

The 20-year-old attacker moved from Genk to Leverkusen for €13.5 million last summer and is under contract with the Bundesliga outfit until 2022.

Leverkuzen have over the years earned the nickname “Neverkuzen” after depriving themselves of trophy success.

The club have reached theDFB Pokal semi-final and Bailey is adamant the nickname will soon be put to rest.

“If we go to the cup final, we’ll win it, I promise,” he said. “That would be the end of Neverkusen.”
