Arsene Wenger says he believes both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will be at the club beyond the January transfer window.
The contracts of both players expire at the end of the season.
In his pre-match press conference for Wednesday’s clash with Huddersfield Town, Wenger sounded assured of keeping both his stars at least until the end of the season.
Asked if his gut feeling is that the pair will stay, the Gunners boss said: “Yes, of course.”
Wenger’s latest comments will come as a blow to Manchester United, who are reportedly keen on Ozil and Manchester City, who having failed in their pursuit this summer are still interested in bringing Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad.
Gooners have had their trust in the Arsenal boss shaken over the years. Recently the Frenchman claimed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would be staying at the club, but a move to Liverpool soon beckoned.
Supporters have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter…
I remain a skeptic, but we need them to get us back into the Champions League.

How are Arsenal in a position where they can lose Ozil and Sanchez for free in the summer

Ozil and Sanchez staying til next season. Why should some fans be disappointed about that, unless your worrying about the money we may lose. Now you sound like a board member.
