Lyon ace and reported Arsenal target Nabil Fekir has dropped a transfer hint, admitting he would be interested in a move to North London but only if he will see time on the pitch.

The 21 year old has been one of the standout performers in Ligue 1 this season. In only in his first full season with the first team, Fekir has managed 8 goals and contributed 6 assists from the centre of the park. His dazzling displays have caught the eye of several big clubs including Arsenal and was even linked with a possible move in January.

That transfer of course never materialized, but the player is apparently still interested in a move somewhere down the line. As reported by the Express, Fekir says though he would like to join Arsenal, he is not interested in sitting on the bench.

“Arsenal’s bench? No thank you! We will see. I don’t want to leave too early and to end up on the bench,” he said.

“I am a fighter and I like to play, I am not happy when I do not play.”

“It is only my first season at the top level, at Arsenal, with the big players that they have, it would be complicated to play in their place, perhaps. But you never know.”

Fekir has a point, as you would be hard pressed to find space for him in Arsenal’s midfield. The current Arsenal attacking corps is probably the most stocked it has ever been, so I don’t think this move will happy any time soon.
