According to reports, Liverpool have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign Thomas Lemar this month or in the summer.

The Reds have been battling Arsenal for the 22 year-old’s signature for some time and now appear to have won the race.

Monaco rejected a bid of £92 million from the Gunners on transfer deadline day last summer. Had the deal gone through, Alexis Sanchez would likely be playing in a Manchester City shirt this season.

Since then, Lemar has continued to be linked with an exit from Monaco with Arsenal maintaining high interest.

However, Yahoo Sports claim it’s Liverpool who have won the race with an agreement already in place for the winger.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have money to splash out following the £142 million sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona this month.

They have already signed Virgil van Dijk for £75 million and look set to cough up the rest to bring Thomas Lemar to Anfield.
