Jack Wilshere has turned Bournemouth into a “totally different” side says Bournemouth boss, Eddie Howe.

The Cherries boss told Sky Sports: “His quality on the ball, his technical ability, is second to none and I think he is so comfortable he’s made us a totally different team with the ball.

“What’s pleasantly surprised me has been his mentality, his attitude to training, his ability to mould himself to the team, to fit into that team ethic that we have.”

The Arsenal loanee has finally got his career back on track after making just one Premier League start in 30 months due to injury. Howe has praised the midfielder for returning to full fitness and adding real quality to his side.

With Arsenal managing a wealth of central midfielders, Wilshere opted to move to the south coast and join former Arsenal man, Benik Afobe, on Deadline Day. Arsene Wenger has insisted Wilshere still has a future at The Emirates and the midfielder’s form has seen him regain a place in the England squad.

Whilst the 24-year-old is yet to score his first goal for Bournemouth, he has made seven successive Premier League starts and Howe’s comments are more than encouraging for Gunners fans. The Cherries currently sit mid-table in the Premier League and the temporary transfer seems to be paying off.
