Arsenal loanees Kostas Mavropanos and Emile Smith Rowe have quickly shown their quality at their new temporary clubs.

Mavropanos with FC Nürnberg

Mavropanos kept a clean sheet for FC Nürnberg on his home debut for the club, bouncing back from an away defeat to Hamburg.

The centre-half has seen appearances for the Gunners come few and far between, but the Greek is already showing Mikel Arteta his talent.

Mavropanos’ deal will last until the end of the season. His next game is against VfL Osnabruck on Saturday.

As for Smith Rowe, the midfielder has scored goals in the Europa League, Carabao Cup and Football League Trophy and he now has one in the Championship, having notched Huddersfield Town’s opener in the 3-2 defeat by Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The 19-year-old loanee appears to be settling in nicely. Smith Rowe has also been reunited with winger Chris Willock – Joe Willock’s brother – after the Terriers completed his loan signing from Benfica on transfer deadline day.

His next match is a home tie with QPR.
