It was a successful week for the senior Arsenal side, albeit a last-gasp – and rather controversial – success, as they earned a 1-0 win over Premier League new boys, Burnley with a ‘champions performance’.

To keep going and finally clinch the win in the dying embers of the game is the earmark of league winners, but we won’t get ahead of ourselves.

Whilst the first team chalked up another three points, another five Gunners were in action out on-loan. In the Premier League, both Jack Wilshere and Calum Chambers were involved with Bournemouth and Middlesbrough, respectively. On the continent, shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny faced a tough match up against Inter Milan with Serie A side Roma.

Joel Campbell was an unused substitute for Sporting Lisbon and Japanese forward Takuma Asano was not involved it Stuttgart’s Bundesliga 2 win over Fürth.
