After seven years, six independent loan spells and just three Premier League goals, Joel Campbell looks set to leave Arsenal.

The Gunners forward who had a torrid time trying to convince Arsene Wenger to give him game time has seemingly failed to do the same with new boss Unai Emery.

Campbell is closing in on a move to Serie A new boys Frosinone Calcio. The promoted side look set to tie the 26 year-old to a three-year-deal.

Last Friday, Gunners head coach Unai Emery previously revealed Campbell was free to quit the club.

“We only have three players: Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell, with the possibility to leave,” Emery said on Friday (as reported by the Star).

Campbell has been on a merry go-round since arriving in north London from Saprissa in 2011.

The Costa Rica international has had spells at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos, Villarreal, Sporting Lisbon and most recently Betis for a second occasion.

However, the forward has struggled to make his mark and tallies just 22 goals in seven years of European football.

Overall, Campbell ends his Arsenal career having made 23 Premier League appearances.

Frosinone are building up to their second ever campaign in Serie A following promotion from Serie B.

We wish Joel the best of luck.
