In a seven-goal thriller, the Gunners secured a dramatic late three points at Kenilworth Road versus Luton Town this evening. the first half was very much all about the Gabriels. Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners ahead in the 21st minute before Gabriel Osho made it 1-1 just four minutes later. The visitors took the lead just before the break, and you have probably guessed it, the goalscorer was called Gabriel, but this time it was Jesus.

Two goals for the hosts in the first 12 minutes of the second half and the hosts were ahead: Elijah Adebayo (50′) and Ross Barkley (57′). However, just minutes later Kai Havertz made it 3-3 (60′). With a minimum of six minutes added, the Gunners had one last chance to get the ball into the box, and certainly made the most of it! Declan Rice scored a header from a Martin Odegaard cross to secure all three points.

Post-match views from the forum:

SA Gunner: “Sloppy performance tonight, particularly the goalkeeper. If there is one performance tonight that reminds us that we still need Ramsdale.

But, these are the types of performances that make champions. We dug ourselves out a hole tonight, that is champion-like behaviour.

Rice, Ødegaard, Saka, Havertz… my players this match.”

1macca1: “I thought that it was inevitable that Arsenal would get a winner with all that pressure. With a minute of extra time remaining I was just about resigned to accepting the draw and then fittingly it was Ødegaard and Rice that combined for the winner.”
