Arsenal’s pursuit of Nabil Fekir has taken a blow after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas responded to the rumours by insisting his player will not be sold.

Fekir has attracted the Gunners after a sensational start to the 2017/18 season. The Frenchman has netted 11 times in as many Ligue 1 games so far.

The 24 year-old has also courted interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona as he continues to announce himself on the world stage.

Arsene Wenger is suggested to want Fekir to replace the departing Mesut Ozil in January or next summer, with the intention of him linking up with former teammate Alexandre Lacazette.

However his progress has taken a blow after Aulas played down rumours he would sell his latest talisman.

‘Will Fekir be at the club after the winter transfer window? Of course,’ he told SFR Sport (via Metro Sport).

‘And nothing says that he will leave at the end of the season either. ‘He is under contract [until 2020] and likes playing for Lyon very much.

Gooners, should Arsenal break the bank to sign Fekir? Let us know in the comments…
