Arsenal promised changes this summer and many fans were left unhappy by the Gunners lack of movement, particularly within the hierarchy as the North London side largely remained as they were over the course of the transfer window.

Fans are growing increasingly agitated with the ownership of Stan Kroenke, who seems reluctant to invest into the club, and other members of the staff behind the scenes have also been criticised by fans and the media alike.

Arsenal, in their defence, have shown some desire to shake things up and a major change is right around the corner, with chief transfer negotiator Dick Law, a close ally of Arsene Wenger’s, set to bring an end to his position.

Law is bringing an end to his time in the role in order to spend more time with his family in the United States and The Evening Standard reports Ivan Gazidis could fill Law’s void, handing him more influence and control at the club.

Gazidis is himself not without critics but he has shown a desire to oversee changes at the club, having tried to push for a Director of Football at the club over the summer- although those plans were scrapped by Arsene Wenger.

A stronger influence from Gazidis could see this back on the table once again but it’s unlikely to be brought in until after Wenger’s tenure at the Emirates Stadium ends.
