Premier League rivals Manchester City are plotting a move for on-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Gunners man was sent out on loan at the end of the summer after he realised that first team opportunities in north London would be limited this season.

Since making the move to the south coast the England international has seen a real improvement in terms of his fitness and performances, mainly down to the management of Eddie Howe.

However, with just 18 months left on his contract with his parent club, clubs are beginning to circle, with Ronald Koeman at Everton also reportedly interested in a deal.

The 25-year-old, who has racked up 17 Premier League appearances for Howe’s side this season, has a total of 160 Gunners appearances under his belt.

However, with the arrival of Granit Xhaka over the summer as well as Francis Coquelin slowly cementing his place in the Arsenal side, there may not be many more appearances added to that.
