Former Valencia boss Marcelino has reportedly been spotted in London amid reports he could become Arsenal’s next head coach.

The 54 year-old is also being touted for the Everton role, which is currently being kept warm by Duncan Ferguson.

Arsenal sacked a former Valencia and Sevilla manager, Unai Emery, after a poor start to the season but are now considering hiring another, with reports claiming they had made contact with Marcelino week.

Mikel Arteta and ex-Bayern boss Niko Kovac are also being linked with replacing Emery.

According to Goal, the Gunners have made contact with Marcelino who led Valencia to the Europa League semi-final last season but was sacked at the beginning of this campaign.

So far, Arsenal’s interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg has failed to turn things around. The Swede has seen his side draw one and lose one in his two matches in charge.

Would Marcelino be a good fit, Gooners? Let us know in the comments…
