Arsenal were held to a draw at struggling West Ham on Wednesday night.

Arsene Wenger’s side have fallen 19 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City and down to 7th in the Premier League.

The Gunners dominated possession, but were largely disappointing in the final third. Alex Iwobi hit a post and Mesut Ozil missed a good chance, but West Ham can also point to Hernandez’s shot against the bar.

One bright spark in the poor performance was that of Jack Wilshere – the midfielder who was drafted in for the injured Aaron Ramsey impressed. His inclusion had been justified and Wilshere can expect more starts in the near future.

West Ham will look back on it as a valuable point in their fight for survival, but a point does little for Arsenal’s hopes of making the top four.

Gooners, what did you make of the performance? Let us know in the comments…
