Arsenal played out a six goal thriller with Liverpool on Friday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 on the weekend and their confidence was boosted further when their proclaimed ‘big four’ were all given the nod to start.

Philipe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and top scorer Mohamed Salah ran Arsenal ragged in the first-half.

Coutinho put the visitors ahead on 26minutes and the Gunners were lucky to be just one goal down at the break.

The second period saw the Reds double their lead on 52 minutes when Salah raced into the box – his deflected shot was too much for Petr Cech.

Salah’s goal sparked a remarkable fight back from Arsene Wenger’s side. Alexis Sanchez headed home after being picked out by Hector Bellerin. Just three minutes later, Granit Xhaka’s 25 yard thunderbolt could not be kept out by Simon Mignolet.

And Mesut Ozil put the Gunners in front after combining with Alexandre Lacazette to cooly dink the ball over the Liverpool ‘keeper.

The Reds did manage to have the last laugh, when Roberto Firmino’s shot stung the finger-tips of Petr Cech before bouncing over the line.

The two sides remain 4th and 5th in the table with Arsenal one point behind the Reds.
