Matteo Guendouzi has won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for September.

The 20 year-old has come on leaps and bounds this season and cemented himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.

Guendouzi’s stand-out performance came in Arsenal’s fightback against rivals Tottenham which saw us 2-0 down to our neighbours before coming back to draw 2-2.

Guendouzi has helped Arsenal move into 3rd place in the Premier League

Following the international break, Guendouzi was also the driving force for the team in Arsenal’s late 3-2 win over Aston Villa. He was fouled inside the penalty box, allowing Nicolas Pepe to score his first goal from the spot.

And then Matteo set up Calum Chambers with an exquisite assist.

The France u-21 international took a whopping 48% of the vote.
