Mesut Ozil names Arsenal’s best young player in social media Q&A

After being named captain, Mesut Ozil showed his leadership qualities in Monday’s 3-1 win over Leicester City.

The German who was influential in all three of Arsenal’s goals has now helped install further confidence in one Gunners youngster.

In a Twitter Q&A Ozil sent Arsenal fans into overdrive when he revealed that Matteo Guendouzi was the best young talent in the Arsenal squad at the moment. Guendouzi has made 7 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season after making the switch from FC Lorient this summer.

The talented teenager has stolen Gooner hearts with his youthful exuberance and forward thinking style of play.

Guendouzi could be a big part of Arsenal’s rebuild under new manager Unai Emery and the 19-year-old has the potential to become one of the world’s best central-midfielders in the future.

The 19 year-old will be hoping to figure when the Gunners take on Sporting Lisbon for Thursday night’s Europa League action.
