Arsenal attacking midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has a agreed a new bumper deal with the club, according to Henning Feindt, a reporter from German newspaper, Bild.

The tweet, which translates to: “Mesut Özil Gets a new mega contract at arsenal! Among other things, it calls number 10 instead of 11. All wallpapers tomorrow @SPORTBILD”, also stipulates that as part of the new deal, the Germany international, will take the No. 10 shirt going forward, which previously belonged to Jack Wilshere.

Feindt reportedly expects the deal to be confirmed sometime next month, with the play-maker taking the on-loan midfielders shirt number from next season.

According to the Metro, the club have been in talks with the former Real Madrid man for over a year, however, those discussions were halted by the European Championships in the summer.

The 27-year-old, who enjoyed his best campaign in English football last season, has 123 Gunners appearances under his belt, scoring on 22 occasions and setting up a remarkable 43 goals.
