Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil sent a classy goodbye message to Jack Wilshere following the Englishman’s announcement he will leave this summer.

Wilshere, who played nearly 200 games for Arsenal in 10 years, sees his contract expire at the end of this month.

A number of sides have reportedly shown interest in the midfielder. Crystal Palace, West Ham and newly-promoted Wolves are all understood to be circling the 26 year-old who has received countless farewell messages from Arsenal fans around the world.

Mesut Ozil was among those to say wish him well.

Ozil tweeted: ‘A true Gunner is leaving Arsenal. Good luck on your next adventure bro.’

The Arsenal star will likely pick up his favoured No 10 shirt which Jack has occupied since his arrival.

Ozil has worn the No 11 shirt in north London since completing a £42.5million move from Real Madrid back in 2013.

However, the German occupies the No 10 jersey when representing his national team.
