Mesut Ozil trains as Arsenal prepare for trip to Anfield

Mesut Ozil has returned to training after being caught up in gang warfare.

The Germany World Cup winner and Saed Kolasinac both were targeted by moped muggers in a car chase in north London at the back end of last month.

Both were unharmed, but has suffered further threats since then and security measures followed which ultimately prevented the pair from game time this season.

Ozil trains ahead of Liverpool on Saturday

Arsenal take on Liverpool at Anfield this weekend. Ozil was pictured in training on Tuesday and his return will be a boost for Unai Emery and his teammates.

Dani Ceballos has impressed in Ozil’s absence and Arsenal are yet to drop a point in their first two Premier League games this season.

Liverpool too have a 100 per cent record and the winner of the contest will go top of the league table.
