The agent of Mesut Ozil has refuted claims that the playmaker is ready to leave Arsenal.

Ozil has struggled to impress Unai Emery this season and was recently omitted from the Arsenal manager’s 18-man squad.

A back injury has also held the German back from gaining any sort of form with him only picking up three goals and one Premier League assist so far.

The 30 year-old’s future continues to be under scrutiny despite signing a new three-and-a-half year deal in 2018.

However, Ozil’s agent Dr. Erkut Sogut, says his star is keen to stay in north London.

Sogut said: “I would prefer not to speak publicly about Mesut’s situation, but given the recent speculation linking him with a move away from Arsenal, I do feel it is important to provide some clarity so we can end this and focus on football.

“Mesut signed a new contract last January because he saw his future at Arsenal and nothing has changed in his mind.

“He wants to stay for the duration of that contract and maybe even longer. Mesut is 100 per cent committed to Arsenal Football Club.”
