Unai Emery has decided to offload Mohamed Elneny in January.

That’s according to reports in The Sun.

Elneny has struggled to impress his new boss and is still yet to feature in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.

The Gunners are rumoured to be tightening their pursestrings after splashing out around £70m in the summer and Emery believes he the club can pocket £15million for the Egyptian who had penned a new contract until 2022 earlier this year.

Leicester are suggested to be keen on the 26 year-old in the New Year.

Elneny was also linked with a switch to Marseille in the summer but a deal failed to materialise.

Should Emery’s wish be granted and Elneny leaves Arsenal, the Gunners could step up their interest in Adrien Rabiot – though they would need to act fast as the Frenchman is close to agreeing a deal with Barcelona.
