Jose Mourinho has criticised Arsenal’s ‘diving’ tactics against his side following Wednesday’s night score draw.
The Manchester United manager was far from impressed with the Gunners’ apparent gamesmanship.
“In the last part of the game was Arsenal wanting the draw, diving, getting the game stopped, waiting for the game to go to the end,” he said (via Express).
“And [it] was us [that were] dead. All the defensive players were dead. All of them in trouble. All of them physically in trouble. Which is obviously normal because of the circumstances.”
Manchester United and Arsenal shared the spoils
Mourinho further claimed that his squad had been hit by a torrid spell of injuries.
“David de Gea had the ball, waits two minutes for them to recover positions, step by step, or was kicking long,” the 55-year-old added.
“When he was kicking long, it was [Romelu] Lukaku and [Marcus] Rashford against five Arsenal players.
Arsenal have dropped out of the top four after squandering several opportunities to take all three points at Old Trafford.
Both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be disappointed they didn’t put Emery’s side 3-2 up, but the north Londoners remain unbeaten and in the hunt for a return to the Champions League.
