Nabil Fekir has been tipped with a move to Arsenal for some time and has emerged as a possible transfer target for Newcastle in the last month.

The 26-year-old joined Real Betis from Lyon in 2019 after a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool broke down with the club citing concerns regarding his long-term injury record.

His for for Betis led Arsenal to make an approach to Spanish side over the midfielder’s future, according to the Daily Star.

The France playmaker had an impressive season in LaLiga prior to the suspension of football due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But Marca reports that Fekir has told the La Liga club he wants to stay.

The Spanish publication says Fekir has reiterated his commitment to Betis, amid interest from Newcastle and AC Milan, as well as the Gunners.

Arsenal are in the market for a long to replacement for Mesut Ozil, who is set to leave the Emirates next summer.
