Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is trying to convince midfielder Isco to stay at the club, according to OK Diario.

The 25 year old has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all believed to be interested in the Spanish international.

Isco is reportedly in need of some convincing that staying at the Bernabeu is the right move for his career. OK Diario say that the player is concerned about his national team chances if he remains at Real.

The midfielder was not included in the final squad for Euro 2016, and only managed a return in October for the World Cup qualifying matches against Italy and Albania. He has not started a match for Spain since October 2015 against Ukraine, and it seems he feels that more game time at club level is needed if he is going to become an important member of the national team setup.

His current contract expires in 2018, and talks are scheduled for the summer with both the club, and now Zidane, keen to sign him up to a longer term deal, but it looks like the player is still considering his options.
