Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Unai Emery being sacked before the end of the season.

The Gunners boss has not enjoyed the best of starts to his second term in north London.

Arsenal have failed to win any of their previous three matches including last weekend’s catastrophe against Watford.

The 2-2 draw with the Hornets prompted heavy criticism of the players and the manager.

Arsneal’s poor form stretches back to last season in which Emery’s side won just one of their last eight matches including a lacklustre display in May’s Europa League final.

According to The Mirror, Man City assistant coach and former Arsenal midfielder, Mikel Arteta , has been installed as the favourite to take over the reins at the Emirates should Emery depart.

The Spaniard, who is 5/1 to be Emery’s successor, was previously linked with the Gunners job, but turned the role down just over a year ago.

Gooners, do you think Emery deserves more time? Let us know in the comments…
