Arsenal have been handed an avenue to seal a move for one of Europe’s brightest prospects but it will come at a huge price.

The Gunners are reportedly one of many top-sides chasing the services of Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe and the French side’s Sporting Director has confirmed that the teenage striker has a release-clause which could be activated this summer.

However, when speaking to Spanish outlet Cadena Cope, Antonio Corden said:

“Yes, he has one — but it’s a lot, a lot of money. I didn’t do Mbappe’s contract and I can’t tell you the details of the clause, but it’s a lot of money.”

“I hope he’ll stay because we have to keep our best players, but we all know the market and how things happen. I don’t know how many offers there are for him.”

Mbappe has excelled with Monaco this season, scoring in all four of the Ligue 1 leader’s Champions League knock-out games thus far, helping Leonardo Jardim’s side reach the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition, where they’ll face Juventus.

However, they face a stern test to keep their side together over the course of the summer transfer window as their prized assets are attracting a wealth of attention from across Europe.
