Premier League football returned to the Emirates Stadium in style this evening as Arsenal beat Leicester City in a thrilling encounter, winning 4-3.
Arsenal took the lead early on through debutant Alexandre Lacazette but Shinji Okazaki put Leicester City level, before Jamie Vardy put the visitors ahead. Danny Welbeck equalised before the break but Vardy struck again in the second-half, before substitutes Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud turned the game on it’s head once more.
It certainly wasn’t easy but fans will be full of cheer following the result, in a game that may already be a contender for the best match of the season, and Arsenal fans on social media were full of praise for one-man in particular; Olivier Giroud.
The Frenchman may find himself further down the pecking order following the acquisition of his compatriot Lacazette on a club-record fee but he proved his worth once again this evening, showing he will be a huge asset for the Gunners this season.
Giroud’s header was his 99th in an Arsenal shirt and he’s likely to hit three-figures this campaign- and he’s now just 25 goals short of putting his name amongst the top-ten all-time Arsenal scorers.

99 Arsenal goals for Olivier Giroud. Ridiculously underrated.

Today showed why you can't let Giroud go.

Giroud will probably go down as a much more successful signing than Ozil.
