Arsenal legends Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry faced off as managers for the first time on Wednesday night.
The Ligue 1 managers shared the spoils as Henry’s struggling Monaco came back from a goal down to take a point against 10-man Nice.
The result meant Nice jumped to sixth in the Ligue 1 table while Monaco remain in 19th, just one point off bottom-placed Guingamp.
Henry and Vieira cemented themselves as Arsenal heroes during their six years together from 1999 – 2005. Both were instrumental figures as the Gunners won the double in 2002 and ‘Invincible’ in 2004 by surviving a whole league season without suffering a defeat.
Asked about his meeting with Henry ahead of kick-off, Vieira replied: ‘We both just wished each other luck, that’s all.’ ‘It was weird, really weird. When I saw him coming out of the locker room, it felt weird.

‘We walked the steps together, we used to climb them together when we played. It was really good, a wink.
‘But then there’s the game and you do what you have to do.
‘He did what he had to do, but it felt weird. We talked, we said a few things to each other.’
