According to reports, Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech could be set for a return to Stamford Bridge.

The 36 year-old departed Chelsea for the Gunners in 2015 and has gone on to lift one FA Cup.

Cech’s future as No. 1 has come under scrutiny after another difficult defensive season for Arsenal. The veteran faces heavy competition from new arrival Bernd Leno, who signed from Bayer Leverkuzen last month.

Football.london claim Cech could be allowed to leave to replace Thibaut Courtois at Chelsea.

Real Madrid are in hot pursuit of the Belgian who was awarded the Golden Glove in this summer’s World Cup.

In the past, Courtois has spoken of his desire to move back to Spanish capital, where he enjoyed four seasons between the sticks for Atletico Madrid, on-loan from the Blues.

Now it appears the ‘keeper could return to La Liga before the summer’s out.

David Ospina still remains on the books for Arsenal despite regularly being linked with a move away.
