Petr Cech has responded to reports that he’s agreed to rejoin Chelsea as the club’s Sporting Director.

The news broke on Tuesday that the 37 year-old goalkeeper, who’s due to end his playing career immediately after Arsenal’s Europa League final against Chelsea, will return to his old side.

Cech is rumoured to have accepted a newly created sporting director position at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Arsenal ‘Keeper spent 11 years at Chelsea before joining Arsenal in 2015.

Cech took to social media on Tuesday night to state that his sole focus at present is on the upcoming Europa League Final, as he seeks to end his playing career on a high.

He declared: “Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game . Now my sole focus is to win the EL with @Arsenal”

Cech has been Arsenal’s No.1 throughout the knockout stages of the competition, despite having lost his place in the Premier League to German stopper Bernd Leno.

Gooners, should Unai Emery choose Leno instead of Cech for the final? Let us know in the comments…
