Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been awarded Arsenal’s Player of the Month for December.
The Gabon international continues to be prolific in 2018/19. Last month he netted five and assisted two to keep Arsenal in the thick of a top four challenge.
Auba received 41 per cent of the votes cast, with Lucas Torreira and Sead Kolasinac finishing in second and third place respectively.
Overall, Aubameyang has 14 goals so far this season as he leads the way in the Premier League scoring chants.
It’s been a good month for the 29 year-old, but to his own admission he was “s***” in the Gunners’ December mauling at Liverpool.
Unai Emery’s side were thrashed 5-1 by the Reds on December 29, with Roberto Firmino netting three times at Anfield.
Striker Aubameyang managed just 13 total touches, six of which came from kick-offs.
After taking the award, the former Borussia Dortmund star took a cheeky dig at himself on Twitter.
“Thanks. Apart that s*** game in Liverpool it was a good month,” the 29-year-old tweeted in response to Arsenal’s announcement of the award.
