Mikel Arteta could welcome back as many as FOUR Arsenal stars ahead of the Gunners return to Premier League action against Newcastle.

The boss has had an injury stricken squad in his short-term as head coach but the winter break in Dubai  has certainly paid off.

Reiss Nelson (hamstring), Kieran Tierney (shoulder) and Calum Chambers (knee) are still out for the Gunners.

Sead Kolasinac (thigh) missed the draw with Burnley last time out but should have recovered for this one.

Alex Lacazette has gone nine Premier League games without a goal

As has Bukayo Saka following the knocks to his patella and his hip injury suffered in Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Burnley earlier this month.

Defender Pablo Mari is in contention to make his debut.

The Gunenrs have become the top-flight’s draw specialists under Arteta. He will only be happy with maximum points here, but Steve Bruce’s United will likely play for a draw.

The Magpies are level on points (31 points) with Arteta’s side.
