14. Theo Walcott

walcottThe second longest serving player at the club, Theo Walcott has been at Arsenal since way back in 2006 where he was a timid youngster just starting out on his footballing journey.

It only took 21 first team appearances at Southampton for Arsenal to fork out an initial £5 million (rising to an eventual £12 million) for Walcott’s services following some incredibly exciting performances for the Saints despite just being 16 when he made his debut for the south coast club.

Walcott is now one of the most decorated names in English football and was famously taken to the 2006 World Cup by Sven Goran Eriksson despite his slender years.

The once timid youngster has grew into a well-spoken and well respected personality in the English game and primarily featuring on Arsenal’s right wing in a 4-3-3 formation, the lightning quick forward has always spoke about regularly featuring as the lead striker, wanting to emulate Thierry Henry, who also wore Walcott’s number 14 jersey.
