Arsenal made it two wins from two from the new Premier League season after overcoming resilient Burnley at The Emirates.
Alexandre Lacazette made his first appearance of the season and got himself on the score sheet, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found the net in the second half to give the Gunners a 2-1 victory over Sean Dyche’s side.
Lacazette, who won Arsenal’s Player of the Season accolade last term, opened the scoring after 13 minutes with some deft work at the near post.
The Frenchman impressively held off Erik Pieters and slid his shot between the legs of goalkeeper Nick Pope.
The Clarets were well organised and had chances of their own before Ashley Barnes levelled the match two minutes before half-time, converting at close range from Dwight McNeil’s deflected pass for his third goal in two matches.
Dani Ceballos stood out for the Unai Emery’s side in his first start of the campaign. And midway the second half the Spaniard recovered possession to set up Aubameyang for a powerful, low finish.
The Gunners now have 6 points out of 6. The real test however now starts with a trip to Anfield on Saturday before the first NLD of the season.
