Arsenal surrendered a two-goal lead at The Emirates to share the spoils with Crystal Palace.

The Eagles heaped more pressure onto Unai Emery who saw captain Granit Xhaka booed as he was substituted in the second half.

It had started so well for Emery’s men. Sokratis put the Gunners ahead with a half volley seven minutes in, before fellow centre-half David Luiz made it 2-0 just two minutes later.

However, VAR proved critical in Palace’s comeback. First Martin Atkinson’s decision to book Wilfried Zaha for diving in the box was overturned. As usual, Luka Milivojević’s subsequent penalty would find the back of the net.

Roy Hodegson’s side then equalised with Jordan Ayew getting on the score sheet just seven minutes into the second half.

Midway through the second half and captain Granit Xhaka received ironic cheers as he was substituted. The Swiss international leisurely stroll off the pitch led to serious boos from the home crowd.

Xhaka then gestured to cup his hand to his ear, before telling the crowd to ‘f*ck off’ as he headed straight down the tunnel.

The north Londoners thought they won it in the dying minutes of the game, but VAR worked against them once again, adjudging Calum Chambers to have committed a foul in the build up to Sokratis’ winner.

Arsenal missed the chance to keep the pressure on Leicester and Chelsea – they remain 5th, now 4 points behind their Champions League rivals.

Gooners, do you think Xhaka’s reaction was justified? And what next for Unai Emery Let us know in the comments…
