Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrates scoring the third goal with Nicolas Pepe and Hector Bellerin

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice as Mikel Arteta’s side kept up their unbeaten start in 2020.

At 3-2, Everton had enough chances to draw level. And perhaps Dominic Calvert-Lewin should have stolen a point at the death, however, the Englishman’s close-range header fizzed past Bernd Leno’s far post.

Bukayo Saka came on in the first-half and chalked up his 10th assist of the season. The youngster could be in line to start Thursday’s Europa League last-32 home tie, when the Gunners defend a 1-0 first-leg lead against Olympiakos.

Arsenal have leapfrogged Everton and are now 9th in the league – four points off current Champions League qualification.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have dropped to 11th.
