Manchester City have been crowned champions of the Premier League for the fourth season running, with Arsenal finishing second for the second season in a row. City secured a comfortable 3-1 home win against West Ham United, while the Gunners picked up all three points with a 2-1 win at home against Everton.

Reaction on the forum:

SA Gunner: “Heartbreak, even though I knew it was coming. But nothing but pride for these boys, they were magnificent.

We will be back people, we will be back.”

Bagels: “3rd time ever a points total this high doesn’t win the league. Really proud of this team and thankful for the joy they’ve brought me this season.

Up against the most dominant ever side in Premier League history (who have cheated to get there). The margins are so fine. We are phenomenal.

We will be back next season, and back even better.

Proud. Thankful.”

Tir Na Nog: “4 points from 15 killed us like many of us said at the time. Great recovery 2nd half of the season but that run in December meant we needed to be perfect and we fell short.

Also, Mik can’t be fannying about with silly experiments or at least don’t persist with them for months on end when it’s clearly not working.”

LookingForEric: “I think we’ve got one more season of this group where they’ll be even hungrier for titles/trophies.

If we fail to win it next season or any trophy for that matter it’ll be incredibly deflating and I think many will be looking to move.

The summer window is gigantic.”
