Arsenal lost for the third straight time away from home after a 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

Declan Rice scoring the only goal of the game just three minutes into the second-half.

Arsenal are also in danger of 6th place Manchester United catching up with them, so a win vs West Ham was vital.

The big talking point heading into the game with West Ham was the absence of Mesut Ozil from the matchday squad.

The German returned to first-team training this week alongside Hector Bellerin who was named on the substitutes bench.

Arsenal didn’t appear to miss Ozil’s creativity with 4 or 5 good chances being carved out against the hammers. However, both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were misfiring on Saturday.

Unai Emery must see his side shake off this indifferent form quickly. The next game is a huge clash with 4th place Chelsea.
