Arsenal achieved their first win in 10 matches by fighting back from a goal down to beat West Ham 3-1 at the London Stadium.

Forwards Gabriele Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all struck in the second half to give Freddie Ljungberg his first victory as head coach.

The rut looked set to continue when Angelo Ogbonna’s deflected first-half shot put the Hammers in front at London Stadium.

At this point Arsenal were pitiful in the opposition third against a side who were just a point above the relegation zone.

However, the game turned on it’s head in nine minutes. Martinelli grabbed his first Premier League goal on his full debut, before Nicolas Pepe had curled a magnificent second into the top corner and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired in a third.

The result lifts Arsenal into the top half of the Premier League, but more importantly lifts the confidence of what seemed to be a deflated squad.
