Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid following his excellent start to life at the Emirates this season.
THE LOWDOWN: KEY ARSENAL MAN
Gabriel Jesus arrived from Manchester City in the summer and has continued to lead the line for the Gunners this season. The forward has helped Mikel Arteta’s side thrive in numerous ways this season with his energy and hunger in the final third.
He may not have scored a lot of goals, but his incisive play and press in the attack are important in Arteta’s system, which has taken them to the summit of the Premier League standings this season.
In total, Jesus, who has not scored in his last seven games in all competitions, has scored five goals and provided six assists in 12 Premier League games this season.
THE LATEST: MADRID LINKS
La Liga giants Real Madrid are preparing an audacious move for Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus next summer, according to reports.
The report claims the Brazil striker is admired by Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, and that the player is on a five-man shortlist compiled by the Italian. It is believed that the Italian gaffer wants Jesus as an understudy and a potential successor to Real Madrid’s Ballon d’Or winning number 9, Karim Benzema.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos were linked with Jesus last summer but reportedly opted out moving for him because of a passport issue.
