Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Gabriel Martinell from Ituano, according to reports in Sport Witness.
It is understood the Gunners have beaten no more than 25 clubs to get their man, who has impressed for fourth-tier Brazilian side Ituano.
Reports in the Brazilian press has said that a verbal agreement has been reached to bring the 17-year-old to The Emirates.
It is believed that Unai Emery’s side have been watching the striker since the U-20 cup in January.
Martinelli has been in superb form for Ituano. His ten goals from the wing in 31 games has made him a hot target for Europe’s elite.
Arsenal are expected to pay in the region of £6.5m and could be wrapped up as early as the end of April.
The Brazilian is already known in England having had a trial at Manchester United in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.
