In a crazy development it appears Arsenal are on the verge of signing James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

Rodriguez really took to the world stage during the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil. The Colombian who dragged his country to the quarter-finals was later snapped up by Real Madrid in the summer.

However, despite winning two Champions League titles and La Liga after the 2016/17 season, the 27 year-old has struggled to maintain consistency at the Bernabeu and was loaned out to Bayern Munich in 2016.

Rodriguez could be on the move

He’s scored 10 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarian’s who were rumoured to be looking at making his stay a permanent one.

Now the Star claim Arsenal have made an official bid for the attacking midfielder. Any deal would seriously put the future of Mesut Ozil in doubt with Rodriguez often operating behind the centre-forward.

The publication also suggests Liverpool are interested too but it is understood the Premier League leaders have yet to make an offer.

Thoughts, Gooners? Let us know in the commnets…
