According to reports, Arsenal are set to go head to head with Everton for the signature of Benito Raman.

Raman has found the back of the net on 10 occasions in 27 appearances for his German club this season. A respectable tally only made more impressive when taking into account Dusseldorf have scored just 39 times in the Bundesliga all season. Raman therefore has netted a quarter of all goal scored by the German outfit.

According to Bild, the 24-year-old is one of a number of players who will leave Dusseldorf this summer, and Arsenal are considering a swoop.

Raman can play on either wing or through the middle. He’s agile and clinical, but above all is an explosive beast unleashed on the counter-attack.

The Germans are expecting some £13m for the forward, which is a fair profit considering they signed him from Standard Liege for just £1m last summer.
