According to reports, Manchester United are winning the race to sign Alexis Sanchez this month.
The Red Devils have sprung a late move for the Arsenal forward and according to Sky Sports Italia journalist Mario Giunta, United are closing in on the Chilean.
He claims Jose Mourinho’s side are nearing an agreement in personal terms with the Chilean, but are still yet to agree a fee with Arsenal.
Reports say Man Utd have offered £25m for Sanchez to move to Old Trafford – £5m more than neighbours City.
In his press conference on Friday, Arsene Wenger stressed that the club will find a replacement should Sanchez leave this month.
The Gunners boss was asked whether Arsenal would once again need a replacement before authorising Sánchez’s departure. “Look, it’s the case now,” Wenger replied. “You sum it up very well.” Wenger added that he wanted a quick resolution to the saga. “Yes, of course,” he said.
