Arsenal may struggle to hold on to Alexandre Lacazette this ummer.
Reports say that Barcelona have stepped up their interest by making contact with the Frenchman’s representatives. The Catalan side have earmarked Arsenal’s Player of the Season as an alternative, should they fail to convince Antoine Griezmann to join them.
Griezmann himself has already announced that he’ll leave Atletico Madrid this summer, but he hasn’t confirmed his destination.
Le10Sport revealed that the La Liga champions have made contact with Lacazette, but are yet to send an official offer just yet.
The versatile forward was in superb form for Arsenal this Premier League campaign. He found the net 13 times and contributed with 8 assists for Unai Emery’s side.
It’s very possible that Griezmann ends up somewhere else as a result, leaving Barcelona to turn to Lacazette.
