According to reports, Hector Bellerin was livid with Arsene Wenger for dropping him just two hours before Sunday’s defeat to Brighton.

Bellerin has figured 29 times for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, scoring twice and assisting once.

The Spanish ace only found he was not in the starting eleven when the Gunners boss named his team, before they slumped to their fourth defeat in a row, losing 2-1 at the Amex.

Wenger instead deployed Calum Chambers in his position, despite also being part of the defence for the 3-0 Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City.

Bellerin is understood to believe he is being made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s dreadful run of form.

The full-back was linked with a switch to Barcelona last summer and after friction with the Arsenal fanbase, the 22 year-old has been tipped for an exit at the end of the season.

Gooners, was Wenger right to drop Bellerin? Let us know in the comments…
