Real Madrid are ready to act on their interest of Alexis Sanchez and launch a January bid for the forward.

The Arsenal star is out of contract with the club at the end of the season and will be free to talk to clubs come the turn of the year.

According to Spanish outlet, Don Balon, Real think an offer of £26.5m will  be enough to prize the 28 year-old to the Bernabeu.

The figure is significantly cheaper than the proposed £60m move to Manchester City this summer.

Sanchez was criticised for his poor distribution during Arsenal’s draw with Southampton, but did come up with a superb assist for Olivier Giroud’s late equaliser.

The Chilean is expected to remain at the Emirates until next summer. However, Arsenal could be tempted to cash in on Real Madrid’s offer for the forward in a deal which would see him move to an indirect rival.
